Virginia and I have started painting records. It feels very vintage-y and its fun to try out a different "canvas".

Guest book for the beautiful Jeanne Marie Whitaker's wedding this weekend. Guests will stamp a thumbprint leaf onto the painting. By the end of the wedding the tree will be full of leaves! I'll put up a picture of that when its done.

Have you ever seen Finding Neverland? I love that movie for so many reasons but one part that I alway love is when JM Barrie and his wife go to bed each in their separate bedrooms. She opens the door into her boring dark bedroom and steps in. Barrie opens the door to his room and it opens up into a bright forest with laughter and fairies...He lived in his imagination and it allowed him to greatly use his gifts to bring us great stories, most notably Peter Pan. Are you too grown up to use your imagination? Are your gifts tucked neatly away as something you used to do when you were an irresponsible child?

These I did for Kevin. He owns Hogan's Hideaway and has graciously allowed me to hang some of my paintings in the restaurant. Thanks Kev!

today i sold a painting to a random lady who walked into my starbucks, told me she wanted to buy all my paintings on the wall, and handed me money for one of them. shock! she asked for a bunch of my business cards because she loves my work so much she wants all her friends to check out my blog! (guess I better update it!) It was exciting to sell a work of art to a complete stranger who likes my stuff. So far I've only sold stuff to friends. Just thought I'd share :-)

Ahh this lady gave me so much trouble but I have to admit I LOVE how it turned out. :-)

I have the hardest time thinking of names for my paintings. Any ideas?

I did this one for John. The background is verses from 1 John about love written in Hindi. This is one of my favorites!
